Theatrical Plays & Live Performance E&O

E&O Insurance protects your project from legal claims related to defamation, invasion of privacy, copyright infringement, plagiarism, and other media risks. Once your film or series is ready for distribution, we submit your package to A-rated entertainment insurers to secure the best available premiums. Most distribution, broadcast, or licensing agreements require E&O insurance before delivery.
Distributors typically specify coverage requirements for features, documentaries, TV specials, TVOD/AVOD/SVOD platforms, internet streaming, reality programming, podcasts, and web series. Certain film festivals may also require an E&O policy to screen your production.

E&O policies are written on a title-specific basis for movies and episodic projects. Film Emporium also offers blanket E&O coverage for commercial production companies creating corporate videos, promos, and commercials that do not require individual title filings.

E&O protection is additionally available for theatrical plays and stage productions.

Errors & Omissions (E & O) Insurance for Distributor's is similar to producer’s E&O insurance. Distributor’s Errors and Omissions (E&O) insurance indemnifies media distributors from lawsuits that may arise due to the content of the material they are distributing. Distributor’s E&O insurance differs slightly from Producer’s E&O in that distributors are insured for a list of titles they are distributing. For example, under distributor’s E&O insurance, a distributor is indemnified against lawsuits arising from the content of Movie X and will still be indemnified against lawsuits alleging content errors for Movie Y. Film Emporium also offers insurance for independent film distributors.
