FOR MULTIPLE PROJECTS IN ONE YEAR
Film Emporium offers annual production insurance.
Important Information About Annual / DICE Coverage
Annual / DICE Production Insurance is designed to cover multiple projects under one continuous policy, making it ideal for production companies that work throughout the year. Instead of securing separate insurance for each shoot, all qualifying productions are covered under a single annual program.
While core coverages such as general liability, equipment, auto, workers’ compensation, and location liability are typically included, certain activities — including stunts, water scenes, aerial work, drones, pyrotechnics, and other hazardous elements — require advance disclosure and underwriting approval. These exposures must be reviewed before production begins for coverage to apply.
Because this is a blanket program, it’s important to provide accurate information about your project types, locations, crew size, and risk exposures at the time of application. Early planning helps prevent coverage gaps, delays, or last-minute underwriting issues and ensures your productions remain properly protected year-round.
If you regularly produce multiple films, TV shows, commercials, web series, or video projects throughout the year, the Annual / DICE program from Film Emporium offers a cost-effective solution: a single policy that covers all your projects for 12 months — from high-budget features to low-budget shorts.
With blanket coverage in place, you don’t need to secure a new insurance policy for each production. The program covers essential protections including commercial general liability, equipment (owned or rented), auto, workers’ compensation, location/third-party property liability, props/sets/wardrobe, and more. Specialty coverage options are also available: extra expense, media loss, rented art or valuables, worldwide coverage, hazardous/shoot scenes (stunts, water, aerial, pyrotechnics), cast & crew insurance, drone liability, and more.
Annual / DICE insurance is particularly beneficial for production companies that manage a steady stream of projects — it simplifies administration, reduces per-project insurance costs, and ensures that all productions remain insured under a single umbrella policy, whether shooting domestically or abroad.

Cast insurance can be provided as part of a production policy. In certain cases, it can be provided as "carve out cast coverage." This type of coverage only applies to certain cast or crew members and is subject to underwriter's approval.
Cast coverage typically begins after the insured individual has undergone an examination and filled out a medical questionnaire. It typically only covers accidents. After the medical questionnaire is completed, the coverage can be extended to include illness, kidnapping, and bereavement.
It is important to note that this type of coverage is subject to the underwriter's approval. Not all types of productions, such as documentaries, may be eligible for this coverage.
Additional time can be bought through Extended Pre-Production Cast Coverage.
