Film Emporium offers affordable rates on quality coverage for athletic sporting events. Lawsuits arising  at sporting events can range from property damage all the way to bodily injuries. For this reason, three different insurance policies are recommended for sports organizations to protect athletes, coaches, directors, volunteers and the organizations themselves.

*Please note under some circumstances, some sports organizations may need additional policies such as Property, Auto, or Workers' Compensation.

Accident Insurance

Pays for medical bills on behalf of injured participants. This policy assures that your participants and volunteers will receive the type of medical treatment that they deserve. The threat of a lawsuit is minimized if Accident Insurance pays the medical bills. This makes it easier for injured participants to avoid legal action.

General Liability

This type of lawsuit alleges that an organization has caused bodily injury or property damage to a spectator or player. It is due to the organization's negligence. Lawsuits are filed every day for injuries that occur at games/practices and non-sport activities off premises .

Even if the organization proves it was not negligent, there are still court costs associated with the defense. This policy pays for your defense and pays for the costs of a settlement or jury verdict. Covered persons should include the sports organization itself, directors, officers, and volunteers.

Directors & Officers

Certain types of lawsuits are not covered by the General Liability policy. These include lawsuits alleging that: Your sports organization's mismanagement has caused economic injury to another party. Another party's rights under state, provincial or federal law have been violated. Lawsuits commonly covered include discrimination, wrongful termination or suspension of personnel or players, and failure to follow rules or bylaws.

This policy also pays for your defense and pays for the costs of a settlement or jury verdict. Covered persons should include the sports organization itself, directors, officers, and volunteers.
